Current situation Limited training Opportunities/support from CIE/SG/RO (Webinars & face to face, online courses, video conferencing) CIE not addressing all levels & all subjects (Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced) SG/RO training does not have expertise for subject specific needs (more generic in nature) SG/RO trainings-Not structured (no proper training calendar) Budget constraints specially trainings offered by CIE No follow up of trainings provided

Suggestions Capacity building programme for O levels School based trainings using indigenous talent Setting targets for O & A-level teachers Subject specialists to be identified and trained- fast track programme for them Retain them through different incentives Back-up plan Structured sharing of good practices- top down RO to keep pool of willing, competent teachers Blend of Formal and Informal sessions- as per need Need based trainings from RO and CIE- one central, organized training calendar Reliance on indigenous talent Capacity building within schools/SBPD Replicating the HEX model at one of the O’level Branches RO to organize PD trainings for novice teachers at the beginning of academic session using own subject specialists Formal & informal PD trainings
