June 2007: Received Letter from OSHA Area Director about meeting. July 2007: first meeting to see how many were interested in starting a safety network in the Permian Basin; 144 people attended. At the end of the meeting, thirty eight people volunteered to participate in an ad-hoc committee.

August 2007 - Ad-Hoc Committee began meetings. Chairman, Vice Chairman and Scribe were elected. Vision and Mission Statements were completed. 6

An election committee was appointed. Set goal to have first public meeting January 2008. September 2007 - elected officers. Voted on name; Permian Basin STEPS Network. October 2007 - Executive committee was elected and took over planning 2008 meetings.

Meeting Location was found and contract signed. Logo was designed by member. Speakers were lined up for first three months. We began public meeting January 2008.

In the past 26 months we have had; Over 3000 people attended the meetings, Over 80 Presentations by guest speakers, Over 600 Members Sign up representing over 300 Companies

Have provided resources to our members in an innovative manner. Cover subjects requested by our members such as Fall Protection, Pressure Relief Valves, Severe Weather, Lockout, Industrial Trucks, PPE, OSHA Challenge along with many others. Provided, at no charge, DBI Fall protection inspection training & certification. Have had three high profile key note speakers

Worked with NIOSH concerning rig move and high tech equipment safety projects. OSHA has presented new and updated regulations to our members. Worked with New Mexico OSHA to evaluate new man riding equipment. Introduced SafeLand Given back to our community by donating more than 5,000 lbs. of food to local food drives.

September 2008 - signed an alliance with OSHA Dean McDaniel, Regional Administrator Region VI was present to sign Alliance

Balance between OSHA, Operators and Contractors. Provide up to date and resources for our members. No dues, all meeting our paid by company donations. Best Practices and Lessons Learned PB STEPS believes in our Country and God. We begin Each meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and end each meeting with a Prayer.
