LT-2: I can talk about whom I know. LT-3: I can talk about what I know. Conocer vs. Saber
2
LT-2: I can talk about whom I know. (and what places) I conjugate the verb conocer using regular –er endings and –zco in the yo form.
3
LT-3: I can talk about what I know. I conjugate saber with regular –er endings, but use “sé” in the yo form.
4
Saber…talk about what you know EX. I know the answer (respuesta). Sé la respuesta. EX. Do you know what time it is? ¿Sabes qué hora es?
5
I use saber + the infinitive to say I know how to do something. Ex. Samuel knows how to skate really well. Samuel sabe jugar muy bien. Ex. I don’t know how to play soccer. No sé jugar al fútbol.
6
Saber or Conocer? We know the answers. Do you know how much it costs? They know David from school. Does she know what time it is? She knows Justin Beiver. We want to meet the football player!
