1 Identifying students “Organizing Quotient” and reflecting on next steps to free up time! Excerpts and images obtained from Where’s My Stuff? The ultimate teen organizing guide, (2007) by Samatha Moss.

2 FREE YOURSELF FROM DISORDER While easy to blame outside factors, like a lack of time or space, it is often our mindset ( way of thinking ) that keeps us in a state of disorder. Disorganization negatively impacts our quality of life. By identifying why we are in disorder we can find solutions.

3 BENEFITS OF ORGANIZATION Score bonus time If you found an extra hour every day to do whatever you want, how would you spend it? Reduce the amount of time you spend simply looking for stuff and you are on your way! Cash in Save money and protect your things by getting organized instead of losing your favorite possessions. Chill out Reduce your stress, be on time and reduce excuses to make up for disorganization. Stay connected Stress negatively impacts self-esteem/confidence and takes away brain energy to spend time with friends. If you’re more relaxed; your friends will be more relaxed too! Be independent The more consistently organized you are, the more your parents and others will trust you. Earning more trust can result in greater independence for decision-making.

4 Next steps: Take the Organizing Quotient quiz Identify which letter you picked the most throughout the quiz to discover your organizing profile
