Brighton It is a town on the south coast of Great Britain. The fishing village of Brighton became a fashionable seaside resort in the 2nd half of the 18th century. Well-known landmarks are the Royal Pavilion – former royal palace, and Brigton Pier. Hastings It is connected with Norman conquest of England. (1066) It became one of the medieval Cinque Ports – this confederation of five ports was originally formed for military and trade purpose. Portsmouth It has been a significant naval port for centuries. Portsmouth`s naval base remains a major dockyard and base for the Royal Navy. Portsmouth Historic Dockyards (PHD) display well-known ships HMS Warrior and HMS Victory.PHD HMS Victory is most famous as Lord Nelson's 104-gun flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 (built 1759 – 65). Chatham It is a town located in south east England. There is a maritime museum - Chatham Historic Dockyard.
