2. Overview  Luncheon open to all students and staff  A woman from the technology industry will be interviewed during all three lunch periods on a Wednesday  Lunch will be provided and promotions paid for using a portion of The Wilburn Fellowship $1000 stipend

3. How will this be achieved?  Permission to use the Wagner Room must be granted  Promotions in the Courant, posters around NCHS and the morning announcements  Laura Wallace, General Manager of Microsoft’s New York Metro Enterprise and Partner Group, has agreed to speak  Students and staff will register in advance  Lunch would include sandwiches, cookies and water  Talk to Guidance Dept. about forming a new club with the proposed name “Women in the Workforce Wednesdays”

4. What kind of questions will be asked?  What did you major in at school? Were you encouraged by others? Did you have a role model?  Did you always know you wanted to be in the technology industry? If not, what did you want to pursue after college?  How did you enter the technology industry? Did you find a mentor?  If someone wanted to be a part of the technology industry, what would you recommend their academic choices be?  Can you share any advice or guidance in regard to overcoming academic, personal and/or professional challenges?  How do you think your experiences and career path may have differed from a man’s?

5. How does this apply to the mission?  Spreads awareness of gender differences in academics and the workforce  Empowers female students to consider academic and professional options that are often overlooked and where women are underrepresented  Offers advice and guidance to students from women in their respective fields through discussion of their career paths and experiences

6. How will the project be extended? What are the long-term objectives?  Form a club to continue the mission and to achieve its goals  More frequent Women in the Workforce Wednesday events  Future interviews with women from other industries where women can be underrepresented  Unused stipend will be saved for future club luncheons and promotion of events
