8 Mathematical Practice Standards Practices In table groups – each person select ONE mathematical practice standard. 1.Read your standard. 2.Identify key phrases from the standard to share with others. 3.Discuss with your table the 8 mathematical practice standards.

Creation of an Lesson Design 1.With grade level colleagues, select one content standard. 2.Design a lesson resource that utilizes mathematical practice standard(s). (power point, lesson plan, problem solving activity) 3. We will conclude with mini presentations sharing.

Gallery Walk Through Lesson Resources 1. Listen to another presentation from your grade level. 2. Jot a comment(s); be specific about its content – reference content standards or practice standard; leave the comment on the table. 3. Go to a new presentation - either one grade level below/above. (Repeat..) 4. Go to a third presentation of your choice … (if time allows) 5. Journey back to your presentation. Read your comments.
