The Land: Iceland is covered with volcanoes and even has a lava desert. Glaciers cover part of the land. Because of the mix of volcanoes and glaciers, Iceland is called “the land of fire and ice.” Weather: Summers are cool and wet, and winter temperatures stay around freezing (32 degrees). In the winter there are only about four or five hours of daylight. During the summer it is light all day and most of the night. Assemblies of God Facts: Two U.S. Assemblies of God missionaries work in Iceland. About 2,200 people worship in 17 AG churches. There are about 25 pastors and one Bible school. More Quick Facts
