Classes held every day in the cafeteria/stage of the elementary campus Students do not miss out on instructional time Beginner Band is a year-long course

Either at a band drive or during the first week of class We try to find the instrument the student will be most successful on We do not start every instrument

Flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, saxophone (and sometimes oboe & bassoon) Must play on starting instrument through the first year

Horn, Euphonium, Tuba, and Percussion Students will be screened for these instruments at the end of their 6 th grade year

Need to have instruments and supplies by September 4 th We have a list with the instrument your student is playing if you’re not sure From Brook Mays (or other source) Financial concerns – contact me

Beginner Meeting & Registration: August 30 th Master Classes: September 4 th – 7 th and September 10 th Students must come to all of the Master Classes in order to be enrolled in band* Concerts: December 11 th (rehearsal Dec 4 th ) and May 7 th (rehearsal Apr 30 th ) Charger Challenge Parties: Oct 29 th, Dec 17 th, Mar 19 th, & June 4 th Super Charger Challenge Events: Dec 15 th & June 1 st
