9  Certification awarded by a government body  Law Enforcement Officers Training – State regulated  State Registry for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)  Certification awarded by a national credentialing body  Child Development Associate (CDA) – National Association for the Education of Young Children  Certification awarded by an industry recognized body  Cisco – Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)  NIMS – National Institute for Metalworking Skills (CNC Milling Operations)

10  Keeps students on a continuum of learning  Enables community colleges to recruit credit students from within – saves dollars  Saves students and financial aid granting agencies dollars - learning is not duplicated  Saves students time - learning is not duplicated  Promotes “one college “ concept – CE and CU both have an equally important role to play in helping students achieve their goal(s)
