5.  SPG Entity will run M:1 protection state- machine  In PBB-TE Protection Group, the frame header fields were changed upon fault notification  Example: ESP-VID is changed and so TESID changes  In SPG, the frame header fields remain same upon fault notification  Only forwarding port number is changed in the MAC table
