SWOT – Section’s Member Growth Program Strengths Large academic community boths state and private high education institution (green field) Students Faculty International Professional organization Research paper repository Weaknesses Difficulties in covering geographical outside Metropolitant Jakarta and Bandung. Little need for technical professional development requirement s Volunteers & active mmbers are very limited IEEE is not well known unless internationally exposed either academically or business Membership does not guarantee research paper access Opportunities Faculty must have professional memebership to earn credit for lecturer certification and academic level. Research paper publication requirement to earn a university degree R&D encouragement by the government Threats Influx of other professional organisation such as ACM Commercial organizations that starts as conference organizers.

Section’s Membership Situation –About 700 members in Indonesia and growing –Less than 10 Senior Members –Student Branch and student members are growing –Opportunity for growth due to publish or perish requirements for academics and professional development requirements Section MD Plan –August 2012 Communication to eligible members to apply for Senior Membership –Member get Member drive to recruit volunteers among faculties and increase student members with the assistance of student branches. –Promotion to faculty members of UPH, SGU, UMM, Binus International, Binus Graduate School). –Action plan for -August - December period prepared.
