Long term goals give the swimmer something to aim at Short term targets help to measure progress towards those goals Hitting the targets provides a sense of achievement and motivation The form is divided into three sections and guidance on completing the form is given below Completing the form and reviewing with the Coach ensures continued focus on areas for development

This is for the swimmer to complete. Next Target Meet + Date Xmas Cracker (15/16 Dec) OR Hillingdon Open Meet (15/16 Dec) Performance Targets Write down times for 3 events that you would like to achieve at your Target Meet.

This is to be completed together with the Head/Assistant Coach once the goals have been agreed. This section is designed to help the swimmer identify what needs to be addressed in order for them to achieve their goals. Step 2 – Areas of Development

This is to be completed together with the Head/Assistant Coach after the target meet has taken place. Once the target meet has been completed it is important to review the success and make plans for the next target meet.
