2. Your exam is on Wednesday, June 12 at 7:45 AM.

3. On Tuesday night, be sure to get a good night’s sleep and make sure to have a good breakfast Wednesday morning.

4. You must turn in your review packet in the designated boxes in the Commons area before the test.

5. Promptly at 7:45, you will go to your assigned exam room in the 100 wing.

6. For the test, bring at least two pens. Even for the multiple-choice questions, use pen. You’re not allowed to use pencil on the test.

7. Mobile phone and other electronic device policy (from Ms. Sloane)

8. “Greece Olympia strongly encourages all students to leave electronic devices at home during Regents testing. All students are prohibited from bringing cell phones and other electronic devices into a classroom or other location where a State exam is being administered. Test proctors, test monitors, and school officials shall retain the right to collect and hold any prohibited electronic devices prior to the start of the test administration. Admission to the test shall be denied to any student who is in possession of a cell phone or other prohibited electronic device and refuses to relinquish it. Lockers are off limits during testing.”

9. “For students that need to have an electronic device in school on testing days the following process will be followed: All Electronic Devices will be collected prior to test administration. Each student will place their cell phone in a zip-lock bag with an index card. On the index card will be the student’s name and a secret word of their choice. The phones will be alphabetized for return at the conclusion of the exam. The student will be given their phone back after identifying the “secret code” on the card. The collection will take place near the main entrance. Please be aware that Greece Olympia is not responsible for your electronic devices. We strongly encourage all students to leave these at home during testing.”

10. Do your best on the test. You need to earn a 65% to pass and you need it to graduate. But you should be shooting for an A on the test, to show your true potential.

11. The exam has three parts and you must complete all to pass.

12. You can’t leave any answers blank, because if you do they are automatically wrong.

13. The first part is 50 Multiple-Choice questions. You are well practiced and prepared for them.

14. The next part is the Thematic essay. As in Global, follow the TASK. The graphic organizers you’ve received in class will help you prepare for possible topics.

15. The third part of the test—which actually has two parts—is the Document Based Question (DBQ) essay. You have to answer all the short-answer ‘scaffolding’ questions. Also, make sure to use the appropriate number of documents and relevant outside information to answer the question.

16. The test begins around 8:00. You are required to stay for two hours, which means you can’t leave until 10:00. You can work until 11:00.

17. Before you turn your test in, make sure to sign both the Teleform and the essay booklet. Also, proofread it to check for any obvious errors.

18. If anyone asks, Mr. Spencer is still the meanest teacher alive and you hate his class (I have a reputation to uphold).

19. You are well prepared for this exam. I believe in you and I know you will do well.
