We will assume that it is the Americans vs the Germans. In scenario A the following personality cards are used: Americans: 1-12* German: 1-10* * 1,2,3…12 etc. is the number printed on the upper left corner of each card. In fact in this scenario the German player has 10 soldiers and the American has 12 soldiers.

As we said earlier, a player has to set up his men in groups. He can create 2 to 4 groups, named from A to D. In front of each group there are two chits; the nationality chit, showing the group letter and the “range chit” showing the range the group currently is (we’ll have a look at it later on). A typical set up for the American in scenario A would be like this:

The opponents groups should be directly opposite to the other player. The German player decides to make 2 groups, A and B.

This is the set up so far… Notice that American Group A is opposite to German group A, B to B and so on.
