NANOFORCE specific objectives Outlining the current situation of the nanotechnology in chemical industry in the Central Europe space NANOFORCE project presentation “Nanodeals Generator” Innovative ICT nanotech platform to connect research with the chemical industry (knowledge to business), provide expertise tailored to individual needs & support for innovative SMEs in launching new joint initiatives to boost the Nano R&D and the effectiveness of innovation among chemical nanotech companies in the CE area Development of the Technology Rating Methodology to provide support and expertise for chemical enterprises in elaborating new initiatives and benchmarking of identified nano-proposals Capacity building of nanotech SMEs to prepare them to tackle a wider range of innovation challenges in the high-technology areas Proposal for establishment of the “Interregional Nanotech Venture Capital Fund” to ensure the project follow-up and give a concrete solution of funding to the CE nanotech initiatives According to EU REACH Reg, deepening research efforts & roadmaps for some key nanotechnology materials which are generally used in the industrial sector of the project regions to assess effects on human health, exposure & environmental impacts and finally demonstrate their proficiency,sustainability and market orientation

NANOFORCE target groups NANOFORCE project presentation Industrial and Chemical Associations and National Authorities European Commission, the European Parliament and the Economic and Social Committee Researchers Venture capitalists Companies operating in nanotechnology sector will benefit of new guidelines to manage nanomaterials and transfer such info to the SMEs in the regions involved in NANOFORCE will be delivered with a White Book of recommendations to advance potential changes of EU regulation for some specific nanomaterials to coordinate nanotech research in CE, more effectively transfer applied research to industry; support entrepreneurial mindset of researcher to connect R&D to market; Banks & venture capitalists will be delivered with all necessary information to assess positively nano deals for funding Large & SMEs need tool to access relevant info on R&D most promising ideas in the field of nanotechnology to exploit potential markets, create synergies and joint ventures 100 25 100 3 20

Testing Specific characterisation and toxicological analysis 3 nanomaterials: TiO2, nanoAG, ZnO to be executed in order to validate their registration process within the context of REACH (Exposure Scenarios/Safety Data Sheets) while assessing their potential health and environmental hazards
