2 nd Semester Reflection How have you done so far this school year? Look back at the goals you set at the beginning of the year. Have you met them so far? Have you gotten “off track”? Journal Entry: Self-Reflection Directions: Take a moment to reflect and then write at least 5 sentences about how you have done so far this year. 1.What are your goals for the 2 nd half of this school year? 2.Where do you want to be at the end of this school year? 3.What do you have to do to get there? 4.How can you take control of your grades?

2 nd Semester Expectations/Reminders What Mrs. New values: A classroom that allows everyone to learn. We are in this classroom for one reason – to learn. Students that show respect for one another. Students who take responsibility for their actions. I love it when students… …share their ideas and creativity. You have some really great ideas and talents! …take initiative. (Be proactive, don’t wait for someone to tell you what should be done.) …are true to themselves. (Secure in themselves and not having to “show out” for others.) …are kind and compassionate towards each other.

Classroom expectations Need to ask or answer a question? Raise your hand to ask a question or make a comment. If you ask a question that I’ve just answered I will not repeat myself. Arrive promptly – You have several minutes to change from class to class. Be on time. Stay seated during class time unless you have been given permission to get up. (Sharpen pencils, etc. when you come into class.) Restroom breaks - Go to the restroom between classes (ask me after you have put your books down) or at lunch. If an emergency arises during class you must use a pass. BYLD devices are welcome in my classroom only when being used as part of your learning. I will let you know when those times are available; otherwise, put them away or leave them in your locker. 2 nd semester offers a fresh start for grades and behavior cards. Plan to have a great 2014!
