Equations: a statement that states two expressions are equal
Variable: a symbol that represents many different numbers in a set of numbers (an unknown) Literal equation: an equation that contains two or more variables.

Whatever you do to one side of an equation, you MUST do to the other side.

Steps for solving equation/inequality:
Simplifying either side of an equation. Add/subtract each side of an equation. Multiply/divide each side of an equation. Check your solution/ Graph answer for inequality.
