What is a Condensate of Cmaps?

The S pre and S post Cmaps: “S” like Sum of propositions

In the Cmap-set that contains all the proposition, the repeated propositions were filtered. We leave only one of them

* *  Filtering: If 2 or more propositions are identicaly, then we take only one of then.

 * * Filtering: If 2 or more propositions have the same meaning, then we take only one of then.

* *   Filtering: If 2 propositions have the same 2 concepts in the same order, but the meaning is different, then we take them as a 2 different propositions

We have a list composed of every different propositions. This List is what we call a “Condensate” (S)

We define a “Condensate of Cmaps (S)” as a Cmap that contains all the different propositions of a Cmap-set related to a particular subject, in this case The Project “Electrical Circuits”.

Condensate Total distinct propositions Deep distinct propositions Superficial distinct propositions S pre 331419 S post 25169 In our sample:

Condensate Percentage of deep propositions S pre 42,4% S post 64,0% Comparison of percentages of deep propositions in S pre and S post.

The Next Steps -Continue aplying this methodology. -Improve the interviews. -If you know or have created any methodology to analyze colaborative learning, please share it with us so we can contrast results.
