GCSE PE – COURSE DESCRIPTION The GCSE PE course is broken down into the following: 60% practical 60% practical 40% theory 40% theoryPractical For your practical marks, you have to be assessed in 4 different sports, each gaining a maximum of 15%. You must choose from at least 2 different columns.

The sports you choose to be assessed in does not have to be made until the end of year 10.

Expectations As GCSE students you would be expected to act as ‘role’ models for the rest of the school. Therefore, correct kit will always be worn and you will be expected to attend extra- curricular activities especially if you are being assessed in a pareticular sport.

Employment Opportunities. This course will be extremely useful for anybody wishing to work in the leisure industry, sport coaching or wanting to take PE at AS/A2 level.
