This set of instructions will tell you how to use the DR'S ABC.
Press Esc to exit this slide show. 1St: When you see someone lying on the floor and they look unconscious check for danger before approaching them. You look: up, down, left and right. When there is no danger then you may approach them. 2Nd: To see if the person you are dealing with are not unconscious tap their shoulders lightly and say in both ears "*name*can you hear me?" If they don't respond this means they're unconscious. Click here to go back.

3Rd: Now you know if they're unconscious or not, if they are, call for help by shouting: "HELP, OVER HERE" If someone comes that's very good, as two pairs of hands are better than one! If there is no one there DO NOT PANIC. 4Th: Check if the airway is clear by flicking out any sweets or food out of their mouth and when you have done that slowly push their head backwards. NEVER try to flick things out that are far down than others.

5th: To check the person is injured or is still breathing count to five in normal speed while holding your cheek against their mouth. Also look to see if their chest is rising. 6th: After this, find a nearest phone and call one of these numbers: 999 or 112, which is the European services.

7th: If the doctor recommends it, do CPR, to do CPR on a baby press with 2 fingers gently against the middle of the chest. To do CPR on a child press the palm of your hand in the middle of their chest. To do CPR on an adult press to hands on their chest. Do this thirty times and then breath mouth to mouth twice carry on this process until the Ambulance arrives.
