Rooted in Him Let your roots grow in Him and let your lives be built on Him. Colossians 2:7 – Why do you think we need to be rooted in Jesus and build our lives on Him? – What are the consequences of not being rooted in Him? – How do we let our roots grow in Him? Write your answers on post-it notes and paste it on the white board.

How to be rooted? Read John 6:63: The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. – What is the difference between the Bible and other books?

How to be rooted? Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? John 14:9 Reflect on the first part of John 14:9 (italics and in bold fonts) – Have you been with a friend for very long yet have not known this friend of yours? – How to get to know this friend? – Do you know Jesus? Is Jesus our friend? How do we know? (Hymn – What a friend we have in Jesus, John 15:15, any other verses that you could recall?)
