HAPPY CHRISTINGLE!
Christingle is a time to share the light, joy, fun and laughter of Jesus. He wants church to be fun…and so should we!
‘WE GATHER IN GOD’S PRESENCE’

2. Jesus brings us out of darkness:
to live in his amazing light.
Jesus is the Light of the World
Jesus is our Way

3. The Advent Candle is lit by a child
Jesus is the light of the world;
Jesus is our Way.
With Jesus even dark places are light;
Jesus is the Truth.
In Jesus we shall live for ever:
Jesus is our Life.

4. SHINE, JESUS, SHINE
Lord, the light of your love is shining,
In the midst of the darkness shining;
Jesus, Light of the world,
shine upon us,
Set us free by the truth
you now bring us,
Shine on me,
shine on me.

5. Shine, Jesus, shine, fill this land
with the Father’s glory,
Blaze, Spirit blaze,
set our hearts on fire.
Flow, river, flow, flood the nations
with grace and mercy;
Send forth your word,
Lord, and let there be light.

6. Lord,
I come to your awesome presence,
From the shadows
into your radiance;
By the blood
I may enter your brightness,

consume all my darkness,

8. As we gaze on your kingly brightness
So our faces
display your likeness,

10. Lord Jesus, we are getting ready again
to tell the story of your birth:
help us to make our hearts ready
to be a place where you can live today.

fill our hearts with your love,
and help us to share your love
with everyone. Amen.

11. No one who tries to follow me should stumble in the darkness.

13. Prayers: Lord, in your mercy Hear our prayer
At this point you could use the prayers of intercession in the service of the word.

14. We pray for peace…
“Jesus shine your light.”

15. We pray for children across the world
“Jesus shine your light.”

16. Your Prayers Think about somebody you know that needs help from Jesus
at the moment.
Maybe you know someone
who is poorly or upset.
Ask Jesus to shine His light for them.
You can take your Christingle home tonight. When you look at it remember that Jesus is always with you, shining His light into your life, helping to show the way.

17. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Do not bring us to the time of trial,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power
and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen.

18. We light the Christingles
Please bring forward your offering for the Children’s Society; then, collect your Christingle before you return to your seat
When all the Christingles have been lit

19. Let us declare our faith in God:
We believe in God the Father,
from whom every family
in heaven and on earth
is named.

20. We believe in God the Son,
who lives in our hearts
through faith,
and fills us with his love.

21. We believe
in God the Holy Spirit,
who strengthens us
with power from on high.
We believe in one God:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Amen.
