M ETHOD Previous research has shown between 10 and 100 Send out short timed algebraic math quiz Ex. 23=2x+3 What is X? “Please take this quiz. You will be competing in this quiz (alone/ against 10/20/ 30/ 40/ 50/ 60/ 70/ 80/ 90/ 100) students. Those in the top 10% of accuracy and fastest completion speed will receive $10.” Send to U of M students recruited online through email (sample of 20 each condition) Alone as a baseline Compare speeds, find where they significantly differ
