Why Moodle Stats? Need to quantify usage in order to measure impact Moodle’s built-in statistics reports have the following limitations: –Moodle user account required to run reports –Only administrators can run site-level reports –Fixed set of date ranges over which reports can be run –Only formats available are line graph and table –Cannot define custom reports 12 October 2014 | slide 2

Moodle Stats Project Aim was to design an intuitive, customisable application for reporting on Moodle usage. Microsoft Access 2007 was chosen because of its familiar interface and relatively widespread availability as part of the Office 2007 suite. Design phase ran from November 2010 to June 2011. Collaborated with four FE colleges to develop reports. Application and documentation are available to any learning provider in the region upon request.
