objectives To work out how to practically bring 2 characters from a T.I.E script to life. Success criteria- Lines learnt Tone of voice changes & volume Changes in pace + pause Direct address lines said straight to the audience [at least one ‘thought-track’ said to the audience] Change in space used to show the relationship /mood between mum & Colly

Context – Viper and Colly have slept together, Viper finds out she is pregnant. From Colly’s reaction, she assumes he wants to dump her. She tells her mum, who sticks by her. Colly comes to the house to try to talk to Viper but mum won’t let him in.

Getting into the mind of the character Think of the differences between you & your character- Age Experience / Situation Personality Although you may not be like your character, actors have to find ways to still be convincing. Sometimes they use ‘Emotion Memory’. This is when you think of a time in your life when you have felt the same emotions as your character or been in a similar situation so you can empathise with them & play the character.

Colly confronts mum, in pairs. CI hadn’t seen her for a week. I’d phoned every day. I went round MWill you leave please CNo. I want to see Marie MI don’t want you going anywhere near her CViper! I wanted to speak to her.
