6 Where we have got to… The government has laid out it’s stall (White Paper) The issues to be resolved have been identified PtP has put a capacity building infrastructure in place There is a small resource being made available...but LSPs will need to develop their own solutions …how will your LSP engage?

7 What can LSPs do? LSPs can come together in workshop format to debate issues and build consensus Representatives of several LSPs come together in workshop format to debate issues and build consensus Practitioners/partners come together via action learning or mentoring to share experiences and ideas (regional) Practitioners/partners come together via action learning or mentoring to share experiences and ideas (sub-regional) LSPs can celebrate successes (to stimulate organic growth). All approaches build on the theme of developing contacts and relationships through networks

8 Themes for sharing ideas and experiences Performance management in partnerships Leadership for health and well being Scrutiny of partnerships (member engagement) Integrating community and spatial planning Issues for urban unitaries These are likely to be the basis of the PtP regional learning sets (which could be mirrored sub-regionally)

10 Practitioner Associates Need Members & Chairs to champion their LSP Provide Peer to Peer support through sharing experiences & knowledge Promote the opportunities effective partnerships offer & build expertise Individually tailored assignments (£250 per day) Support networks towards focussed learning & outcomes Training will be provided – 5 th /7 th Sept followed by continued support through the PtP programme to work with partnerships Community of Practice – sharing information

11 Sub – regional approach Some clusters of LSPs are pooling funds (eg Hants 50% Oxford 66%) Pooled funds may be enhanced from centre Activities informed by Leadership Centre pilots and other LAA work Networks make a big difference!
