Scripture 1 Peter 2:20b-23 (NIV) 20b...if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 22 "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." 23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

Point # 1 I got to remember when life isn't fair that it is more important what is happening on the inside of me than what is happening to me or what is happening around me. 20b...if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 22 "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth."

Point # 2 I got to remember when life isn't fair that God is watching to see how I am handling the situation. 20b...if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.

Point # 3 I got to remember when life isn't fair, endure it, for someone else's benefit. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

Point # 4 I got to remember when life isn't fair that one day God is going to make it all right. 33 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

Conclusion The great goal of the Christian life is to be like Jesus. But that would mean that when life isn't fair, I don't retaliate. I just entrust myself to God who will one day right all the wrongs. Am I up to the task?
