(1) Population: c.456,000 Area: 1,257 square miles – 4,400 kms of highway Number of households: c.191,000 Number of businesses: c.20,000 Need for affordable homes – 3,000 per year Waiting list for affordable homes – 13,000 households Gross budget turnover - £845m

What sort of business will Wiltshire Council be in? (2) Number of employees: c.9,000 Staffing budget - £365m Number of planning applications a year: 10,000 35 Libraries – 5 mobile - Lend 2.9m books 65,000 children and young people in 239 schools 15,200 adult and social care clients per year
