Feedback from the November Task Force What will we do today? Remind people about the New plan for the County Board and Task Force Share the views of the Task Force Final decision on the changes

Proposed New Structure for County Board and Task Force Health and Wellbeing Board Adult Care Board LD County Partnership Board LD Local Partnership Board Carer Network Reps on Board Good Health Group Task Force Community Lives sub- group Local Sub- Groups

This will……. Make the County Board a smaller meeting Give it a clear purpose ‘partnership’ working is strengthened Free up time so elected reps and carers can attend other sub - groups Give it clearer accountability Local Boards have a route to action concerns Other Decision making Boards understand it’s importance

This will……. Have more Task Force meetings Lots of people can attend, Not just elected reps and elected carers More people can have a bigger say Makes it easier to do things More importance given to local boards Can concentrate on making a difference Can concentrate on improving things locally

Dates County Board Task Force Celebration AGM 24 th 25 th 24 th Chesterfield ? Buxton ? Oakland Swadlincote ? Ashover ? PostMill Centre, Sth Normanton 10.30 – 1.30

Reps said……….. Old Board – used big words, people argued, people fell asleep because the meetings were too long New Board – needs more action, more time for reps to speak, start on time, shorter breaks, respect for the chair, smaller agendas How to make all meetings better - Put things clearly, go through actions, start with actions, support after meetings, too many actions. Task force – 4 times a year is good, means we can meet other people from other parts of Derbyshire, topics = relationships, being assertive, being a representative – the art of being a rep, having an independent life, Information giving but still needs space to be creative!! Celebration – good idea, but use it as a chance to evaluate things

Carers said……….. New Board – needs to action local Board issues, Clear reporting process back to local boards, have a clear monitoring process of actions – audit trail. Membership - needs to include a representative working in transition services, County Councillor, commissioner, provider rep, and housing rep Task force – Take on a monitoring role, making sure the actions are followed through at the County Board, agenda sets itself, flexible, creative, Topics to be included: Information sharing, assertiveness training, coproduction working, it’s a tool – to sort things out! Celebration – good idea, but use it as a chance to evaluate things

Staff and Partners said……….. New Board – needs a named person against each action, 4 meetings of better quality, needs a set agenda, Reps would be happier with a smaller meeting. Worries – sharing information might be lost – how will we do it – need to still share the minutes and agenda? Perhaps at the Task force meetings. Commissioners need to be there. Fear that money may be pulled out of the County Board. Task force – Working forum, separate day, flexible, creative, Topics to be included: Don’t set it too early, allow flexibility, use first Task Force to agree job descriptions and how it links to the County and Local Boards Celebration – not all in agreement (9 For, 4 Against)

What do you think…….? Yes, agree with new plan No thanks – Don’t agree with plan
