16. Provisional Key Stage 2 Results The percentage of pupils attaining Level 4 and above in English has improved in 2008 (81.3%) compared with 2007 (80.6%) - broadly in line with the national figure. Bedfordshire is eighth out of the ten statistical neighbours in English for pupils achieving level 4 and above. The percentage of pupils attaining Level 4 and above in mathematics has improved in 2008 (77.8%) compared with 2007 (76.1%). Bedfordshire is at the national figure. Bedfordshire is seventh out of the ten statistical neighbours in mathematics for pupils achieving level 4 and above. The 2008 results for English and mathematics at level 4 are the highest for Bedfordshire to date.
