Mr. Carver made things like peanut milk, peanut candy, and peanut soap.

Carver taught school and many other things. He played piano to raise money for the school.

Carver taught at Tuskegee because he wanted African Americans to have equality with other Americans. Mr. Carver worked for many years to make things better for farmers.

During Mr. Carver’s life, science changed the food that people ate. By the 1920s, people could pack fruits and vegetables in cans.

More people had refrigerators. This way people can eat and store more food.
