3.  Mr. Carver made things like peanut milk, peanut candy, and peanut soap.

4.  Carver taught school and many other things.  He played piano to raise money for the school.

5.  Carver taught at Tuskegee because he wanted African Americans to have equality with other Americans.  Mr. Carver worked for many years to make things better for farmers.

6.  During Mr. Carver’s life, science changed the food that people ate. By the 1920s, people could pack fruits and vegetables in cans.

7.  More people had refrigerators. This way people can eat and store more food.
