7 MSD ’S = M USCULO S KELETAL D ISORDERS Muscular sprains and strains. Back injuries. RSIs (Repetitive Strain Injuries). Abdominal hernias. Soft tissue injuries (wrists, arms, shoulders, neck or legs). Chronic pain.

13 4. REVIEW Always try to improve the way we do things. Carry out a JSA / SWMS for any change in procedure.

14 LIFTING & CARRYING TECHNIQUES Check the path. Position yourself for the lift. Assess the Lift. Back straight, bend knees, squat for the lift. Keep load close to your body.
