Construction(n.) What is built Buildings that are created or produced Construction sites involve the building of offices and homes.

Destruction (n.) The act of taking down or destroying something that was built. A flood can cause destruction to a town.

Infrastructure (n.) The parts on which the rest of the city was built Includes the roads, communication, transportation and schools The infrastructure of a city includes the roads.

Instruct (v.) To build knowledge The teachers at Gladstone Elementary are here to instruct, so the students will build their knowledge.

Instructor (n.) A person who helps you build knowledge Swimming instructors help children learn to swim.

Misconstrue(v.) To misunderstand To interpret the wrong way She misconstrued my comments. She did not understand what I was trying to say..

Obstruction (n.) Something that blocks the way of things being built Something in the way The obstruction in the road prevented the cars from getting through.

Reconstruct(v.) To build again After the devastating earthquake in Haiti, the residents had to reconstruct their homes.

Substructure(n.) The base, support, or foundation of a building Some homes have basements which are considered a substructure to the house.

Superstructure (n.) Something that is built on top of something else The part that was built on top of the foundation or base A superstructure is built on top of a building.
