How did they help? Solon was asked to reform Athens political system! Cleisthenes actually stopped Tyranny! Socrates was the Philosopher that taught Plato who…. Took Socrates teachings and came up with a 3 group system of an ideal city state.

What were some big differences in Athens from Mesopotamia Believed in reason and debate rather than Gods. Let the society vote on decisions. Created institutions to run the city state.

Was Democracy really fair? Only Citizens could vote Only Rich Citizens with Slaves could go to the meetings. So it was really an Oligarchy!

Ostracism What was it for? For people who were to rich and wanted to much power! They exiled those people so they would not become Tyrants!
