What is an infinitive? An infinitive is the un-conjugated form of a verb. Any verb that has the word “to” before it is considered an infinitive when not part of a sentence. Ex. to buy, to talk, to look, to need, to carry, to wear

3. There are 3 types of infinitives in Spanish -ar -er -ir We will be learning about –ar first.

SINGULAR 4. All verbs, or action words, in Spanish belong to a specific family. Verbs whose infinitive ends in -ar are called first conjugation verbs. necesitar comprar buscar hablar mirar pagar

THE SUBJECT PRONOUN Since the ending of the verb in Spanish indicates who performs the action, the subjects (yo, tú, él, ella) are omitted..
