WHAT CAUSED THE ICE AGE? The temperature dropped which caused the winds to flow around the earth in different directions.

The earth is 4.5 billion years old. There have been many ice age. High temperatures melt the ice and some animals and plants become extinct like the wooly mammoth.

WHY DID MAMMOTHS GO EXTINCT? The reason mammoths became extinct is because the humans hunted them and the melting of the ice age.

Where did the ice age start? The ice age started around Europe, Asia, and North America.

The Tundra The tundra is like the ice age today. One half of the year is snowy and cold and the other half is sunny and warm.

Little Ice Age From 1645 to 1715 the U.S. was in a little Ice Age. The scientists think this happened because there were no sun spots. Glaciers formed and harbors froze!

Conclusion Thousands of years from now we may have another ice age. But right now we may have global warming.
