The Expression Of God’s Will.
Hebrews 1:1 God has spoken! Romans 9:19-21; 11:33 Paul reasons about the sovereign power and authority of God. cf. Habakkuk 2:20 “The Lord is in His holy temple, let all the earth keep silence before Him.” cf. 1 Corinthians 2:9-11. Jesus Christ is the ultimate revelation of God to man. cf. John 14:8ff. Especially verse 9.

If God Has Spoken… His message would have to be understandable. 2 Peter 1:12ff; 2 Peter 3:1-2; Ephesians 3:1-4; Ephesians 5:15-17; John 20:30-31; cf. Matthew 24:35; 1 Peter 1:25

If God Has Spoken… His word must be approached objectively. Necessity of this approach. cf. Luke 9: The disciples did not understand. cf. Mark 9:31-32; Matthew 13:15.

If God Has Spoken… The way we treat the message of God is how we treat God Himself. cf. James 2:1-4, 8 Illustrates the point. cf. verses 10, 11, 12. John 12:48; cf. 1 Thessalonians 2:13.

If God Has Spoken… If these things are so … then God’s word is vital to man. cf. Hebrews 1:1ff; Hebrews 2:1-3. But how does God speak? John 16:13

God Has Spoken! 1. His message is understandable. 2. He has said something that we can use. 3. It will affect your life and your eternal well being. 4. You will be judged by the way you respond to it. 5. Our treatment of the word of God is our treatment of God. 6. It is the most important message we could possibly have.
