1. internal Conflict: is conflict that occurs within a character’s own mind 2. external Conflict: struggle between opposing characters or opposing forces. External conflict occurs between a character and (1) another character, (2) an outside force, (3) society, or with (4) nature. 3. protagonist: The leading character or a major character in a drama, movie, novel, or other fictional text. (the “good guy”) 4. antagonist: The principal character in opposition to the protagonist or hero of a narrative or drama; an adversary. 5. euphemism: A mild or indirect word or expression for one too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing. EXAMPLE: "fairy tale" instead of "lie" or "Quizzipoo" instead of "TEST."
