If the Lord Wills “Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit;’ whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” (James 4:13,14)

I Will… (James 4:13) Today or tomorrow… Go to such and such a city…
Spend a year there… Buy and sell… Make a profit… “If the Lord Wills” (Js. 4:15)
3
You do not know What will happen tomorrow (Js. 4:14; Matt 6:34)
Do not boast about tomorrow because you do not know what a day will bring forth (Prov 27:1) We do not know how long we will live – in fact, life is but a vapor (Js 4:14; Job 7:7) All flesh is like grass (I Pet 1:24; Is 40:6-8) “If the Lord Wills” (Js. 4:15)
4
Do not Boast You boast in your arrogance (Js. 4:16)
All such boasting is evil – reliance on self and not God If you know what is good and do not do it – you have sinned (Js. 4:17) We live and serve in what God wills for our lives. We trust in Him and we know it is not our will but God’s will that will be done! “If the Lord Wills”

If the Lord Wills It is okay to make plans understanding that they can only be accomplished if the Lord allows it. Never boast in your accomplishments but rather give God the glory. Trust that the Lord always wants what is best for you. Stay away from evil and do what is good. It is God’s will that we follow the teachings of His Son!
