CREATING SLIDES Use design templates Standardize position, colors, and styles Include only necessary information Limit the information to essentials Content should be self-evident

CREATING SLIDES (CONTINUED) Use colors that contrast Reds, oranges, and yellows= warm (pop out and attract attention) Safe to combine warm colors/ shades of brown Greens, blues, and purples= cool (less noticeable) Safe to combine cool colors/ shades of gray White, black, and beige- neutral/ go well with all

TEXT GUIDELINES & SUGGESTIONS Generally no more than 6 words a line Generally no more than 6 lines a slide Avoid long sentences Larger font= more important information Keep font size between 18 and 48 point Be sure text contrasts with background
