2 Many of the churches in France have beautiful stained glass windows of all shapes and sizes. Pieces of colored glass are joined together with lead to form a picture or design. In addition to windows, stained glass is used for lampshades, Christmas ornaments, and signs.

6 Some of the most famous and beautiful stained glass windows in France are the round “rose windows”. They are called rose windows because they look like a flower.
