Major Art Modality Utilized: Visual Art Multiple Intelligences Addressed: Spatial Lesson Abstract: The lesson demonstrates the quick production of a foldable to be used as both a tool for further inquiry as well as assessment. Materials Needed: One sheet of paper per student, scissors, pen or pencil (optional) Procedures: When you recognize the need for further inquiry, this foldable provides a venue for students to record known or learned information. It also provides the students will aSecret Page in which they may record new information. Students could use this in mathematics, recording the steps to a complicated equation and recording insights for their peers about how to remember steps or facts necessary for success on the secret pages. In Social studies, students could record historical facts on the six pages and the results of those situations on the secret pages. In Language Arts, they could record a characters character traits on the six pages and a secret or hidden conflict with the secret pages. Science students could record the process of a lab on the six pages, and predict outcomes on two of the four secret pages and factual conclusions on the other two. See the visual instructions in the next frames.
