HIDDEN FIRE TEST-STATUS TEST FIXTURE HAS BEEN SHIPPED TO UNDERWRITERS LABORATORY IN NORTHBROOK, IL. UL HAS DELAYED WORKING WITH THE TEST DUE TO THE DEATH OF WILLIAM CAREY UL HAS ASSIGNED EMIL MISICHKO TO THE HIDDEN FIRE TEST UL WILL BEGIN FAMILIARIZATION TESTS IN JANUARY

SEAT FIRE / TOXICOLOGY TEST- STATUS TESTS OF ALL SUBMITTED REPLACEMENT CANDIDATES COMPLETED: –FE 36 (DUPONT) –FE-36/FE13 (DUPONT) –HALOTRON 1 (AMERICAN PACIFIC CORP.) –ENVIROGEL (POWSUS) –P IV (NORTH AMERICAN FIRE GUARDIAN) –FM-200 (GREAT LAKES CHEMICAL) ALL PASSED THE HF TOXICOLOGY CRITERIA: 200 ppm/1 minute, 100 ppm/5 minutes

TOXICOLOGY TESTS OF ADDITIONAL AGENTS TASK GROUP FORMED TO STUDY PROBLEM THREE POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS IDENTIFIED: –ACCEPT ANY NEW AGENT THAT IS CONSIDERED SAFE TO DISCHARGE IN HUMAN OCCUPIED AREAS –DEVELOP A NEW TOXICOLOGY TEST THAT DOES NOT RELY ON THE TECH CENTER’S TC-10 FUSELAGE –LIMIT APPROVED AGENTS TO THOSE ALREADY TESTED. NO CONCENSUS YET AMONG TASK GROUP MEMBERS
