UNDERSTAND Simple Sentences  A simple sentence has a subject and a verb. It is a complete thought.  Simple Sentences: SV, SSV, SVV, and SSVV  SV: The girl runs.  SSV: The girl and the boy run.  SVV: The girl runs and jumps.  SSVV: The girl and the boy run and jump. DO Write the following simple sentences. from Julius Caesar and identify the subject(s) and verb(s). 1. Home, you idle creatures. 2. What trade, thou knave? 3. Beware the Ides of March. 4. I do fawn on men and hug them hard.
