Negotiating a contract With the help of your volunteer, read through the contract carefully. The content of the contract is made up of ‘terms’. The terms determine the points on which both ‘parties’ are in agreement. Make a note of each term to ensure that you know exactly what the contract includes. Discussion point: What do you think would happen if you signed a contract without reading through it properly? As a team, have a discussion about what you would like to see included in this contract; what would you like from the school? What do you think you could offer the school as pupils? Write your own new terms for the contract.

When two or more people want to agree on something, they often write and sign a contract, which shows agreed terms. Next session we will be visiting a Financial Institution to talk to them about money!
