Derbyshire County Council Children and Younger Adults Department History and creation Review of current training offer within LA – targeted Training Directory GRID – membership and external funded training –audit of provision across Derbyshire Development of a VCI Training Directory – with some overlap e.g. First Aid The initial training was based around the CWDC Common Core Skills and Knowledge and the CWDC Induction Standards 5 core sessions identified and an initial pilot was carried out in NE Derbyshire and South Derbyshire – initially this was externally funded In 2010 DCC embedded the training within its core provision In 2010 the passport gained IIQ status with NCFE 2011 The Derbyshire Volunteer Passport was rolled out across Derbyshire Nov 2011 – Volunteer Passport Licence launched in London
