1. Live In Harmony With One Another Romans 12:16 Page 1764 Sermon 4 of 7

2. So far… We have heard Gods call to… ____________ to one another. And to ______________ one another. How are you doing with these? Is this series making a difference?

3. God Likes Variety: I am amazed at the variety of _______________ that God has created. Animals, plants, people, personalities, languages, environments, sounds, and congregations!!

4. Harmony Needs Diversity: But it needs to be the right kind of diversity! We need diversity which is complementary. The term harmony derives from the Greek ρμονία (harmonía), meaning "joint, agreement, concord", from the verb ρμόζω (harmozo), "to fit together, to join".Greekharmonía

5. Sing to One Another: Ephesians 5:19-20 page 1823 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. How were your music choices this week? Who did you sing with and what did you sing?

6. Devoted to and Honouring One Another Romans 12:9-10 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. For harmony to grow we must choose to love one another.

7. In Harmony - Romans 12:16 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. The word harmony is not in the passage it is phroneo which has the idea of sentiment or interest oneself in, which is why pride is warned against and interconnection is requested.

8. At Peace with One Another – 12:18 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. Peace should be our first and major stance. Cf Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers…

9. Be United – Romans 15:5-6 page 1767 5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Unity is as much a spirit as it is a specific choice. We choose unity because we were all bought with the same blood of Jesus and we are family.

10. Today: We have talked about singing to one another. Why we are to be showing devotion and honour to one another. Why God wants us to be interested in one another. Why He wants us to choose peace when we can, and why we need to honour the unity that God provides through Jesus sacrifice and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

13. Honour Your Connections: If you are going to raise your kids Gods way then do so with commitment. Bring Christ to the forefront in your friendships. Let Christ use you at work and play. Make small group study a priority and commit yourself to the group and to the studies that you have connected with. And lastly, come to services with a thankful heart and eager to celebrate and to follow Gods word.
