The church of Christ owes its very existence to the death of Jesus Christ
Was purchased with
His blood (Acts 20:28)
Was sanctified by His death (Eph 5:25-27)
Was redeemed when He gave Himself (Titus 2:11-14)

No one outside of the church will be saved
Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18, 24; 1 Corinthians 1:10-13; Ephesians 4:4-6

8. Eph 5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
Col 1:18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Col 1:24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

Truths regarding the unity of believers
Paul pleaded for Christian unity at Corinth.1 Cor 1:10-13
Paul gave the charter for Christian unity Eph 4:4-6
Since Jesus died for the church, if the church in which He died for is really unnecessary, then Christ died in vain!
If almost 2000 denominations are right and if we can attend just any church, then Christ did not reconcile us in one body, and therefore, He died in vain!

Eternal Punishment (Matt 25:46; 2 Thes 1:9)
Not God’s will – yet many will be (1 Tim 2:4)
Christ died to save us from eternal punishment
Died on the cross to draw sinners to Him (John 12:32)
Died that we might live (1 Pet 2:24; Rom 5:8-10)

Many are teaching that heaven is just a “dream” that will never come true; Jesus never promised heaven to anyone but to his apostles.
Others are teaching that heaven in the Bible is equal to a “reformed world or new world,” that Jesus will set in the millennium and that there will be no one in heaven but only in this “new earth”

Christ died to save us from eternal punishment
In the Bible we read that Jesus promised for you and I heaven. Have you ever been to heaven? No, we haven’t but we trust Jesus. He promised.

Heb 6:18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
John 14:1-3… "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

Jesus is talking with the apostles in John 14 and we are not apostles… That’s true Jesus is talking with and for the apostles but that’s not the only passage that we have.

Col 3:1… If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.

2Ti 4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
