Different Types of Polygons

Explain that triangles are classified in tow ways: by the length of their sides (equilateral, isosceles, and scalene) and by the size of their angles (right, obtuse, and acute). How to Plot an Ordered Pair
Name an ordered pair x – axis horizontal axis x - coordinate y – axis vertical axis y - coordinate Show students how to plot an ordered pair. This flow chart begins with naming an ordered pair. Explain that the first number of an ordered pair is the x-coordinate. The x-coordinate tells how far to the right to move along the x-axis, or horizontal axis. The y-coordinate tells who far up to move along the y-axis, or vertical axis. Once you have determined how far to move along each axis, you plot the point at the intersection.
